ETERNAL IMPACT – Youth For CHRIST International

Youth for Christ ChristianThis post is first of a series featuring Christian organizations making an ETERNAL IMPACT. Today I feature Youth For Christ, one of many organizations doing Gods work in the U.S and internationally. In particular, I have a heart for International ministries especially those working in Africa.

I am not sure why Africa, but perhaps it stems from my childhood and the famine I read about in a now non existent country called Biafra. This occurred from May 1967 to January 1970. Graphic images of starving children were published by that stirred my heart.

I was a child and I could not believe my eyes.
It was the first charity to which I gave a donation.
Unfortunately we see those same heart rending, tragic images still today.

I pray someday there might be a season that that God directs my path towards this kind of Kingdom service.
For now I will spread the word in order to introduce you to opportunities to use your gifts, time, talents or resources to support local and international organizations that spread the love of Christ and word of God – especially to others who are lost, poor, defenseless or suffering.

I feature today Youth for Christ International (YFCI)
Youth for Christ began 60 years ago. It is a worldwide Christian movement working with young people around the globe and communicating the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Their intent in clear in the wonderful statement-
Youth for Christ seeks to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

Update 2018- When I posted this article I had embedded stunningly alarming video entitled “Reaching Young People at a Dump in Honduras. A Place that Ought Not to Be”
It can no longer be found. The video opened my eyes to the remarkable work YFCI is doing in Honduras, only one of many areas they serve worldwide.

Here is a photo of children in the dump. Please consider making a donation to TFCI
