Do you want God’s blessings? Have you asked Him? God desires to bless us. He knows exactly what we need even when we do not! Sometimes what we want will not bring blessings to us. What do we do?
Begin by praying and then trusting God in all circumstances. I believe that to trust God and his plan for me, in the midst of tragedy or triumph will ultimately bring blessings, of course in God’s way and His timing.
Today I read this prayer and had to share it. Candid, thankful and hopeful, it represents what I believe and seek.
Dear God,
“Thank you for a new day. I know that everything I am and everything I have is a result of what you have allowed in my life. Sometimes life is very hard; other times it is full of happiness.
I know you are always there and your blessing is available…if only I will listen and obey.
Please help me to recognize the gifts you send and the doors you open each and every dayGive me wisdom to see and do your Will.
Thank you for the spiritual gifts you have given, also.
I pray that you will use those gifts to work in and through me to minister to the world and draw people to you.
In Jesus’ name I pray and give you praise.” Amen.
Gods primary and greatest blessing is His forgiveness given only to those who believe and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
-Numbers 6:24-26
The Bible is filled with passages about blessing. In the Old Testament alone, the word blessing is used more than 600 times. You may wonder, what is a “blessing” according to the Bible? You can read more about blessing at Bible Study Tools
